Inside one of the tents that people are staying in for the weekend. |
A family getting ready for dinner. |
The blacksmith. |
We were thirsty so we bought a drink. It was lemonade and it came like this. SO cool. I was thrilled. I feel like we should drink all things out of corked bottles. |
While we were waiting for the war we went wandering around the reservation and found a path in the woods which led to this. We love boardwalks and bridges and so we were very excited. |
Those plants were so green compared to everything else! |
That is where we were headed. I LOVE bridges. |
Crossing the bridge |
Playing in the woods |
The battle begins! |
The British arrive on the scene |
Advancing and leaving the dead on the field |
The Americans have been driven off |
Indians! Complete with mohawks |
Heading back to camp after the battle. Yes they fire those canons. |
Getting out of formal uniform dress |
Afterwards we went back to the house for dinner and then we went to the theater to see The Hobbit. It was well-done and quite fun. We realized while we were there that we had just lived out an exciting Saturday for retirees. We then decided that we aren't acting like old people, but rather that we find pleasure in a wider variety of activities and are easily amused. Being easily amused is a wonderful quality I think.. I feel like we must be happier more often if it's easier for things to make us smile.
Today I am home.
It's only been a few hours since he left me here.
I hate the leaving part.
